The path to personal growth and resilience is forged through struggle.
You don’t have to forge that path alone, and together we can get you to a place in your life where you feel better. Whether you have had emotional struggles for a long time, or things have been great and recent circumstances dramatically changed in your life I want you to know that I am glad you are looking for support and found your way here.
“But do I really need therapy?”
That’s a great question that only you can answer! If things aren’t great for you right now, whether you are feeling depressed, anxious, burned out, stressed out beyond measure, or struggling with life-size curveballs coming at you AND you want to feel and cope better and change how you are approaching things, therapy is a path to get you there.

In our therapeutic relationship, we will work collaboratively to help you determine your goals and the best way to help you reach them. My therapeutic approach is person centered and solution-focused with the end goal of helping you feel better and getting you to a place that you want to be in life. I employ a number of evidence-based modalities to help us get there, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness practice. In therapy I will help you gain a better understanding of yourself through increased self-awareness and self-understanding, and help you develop intentionality around your thoughts and behaviors. We will explore and develop tools including: coping skills, problem-solving, distress tolerance, interpersonal skills, and emotional mindfulness.
I provide individual therapy for the following concerns:
Depression: feeling disconnected, purposeless, or stuck
Anxiety Disorders and Phobias, including Social Anxiety
Navigating big life changes or transitions
Relationship issues: partner(s), family, parent/child, family of origin
Difficulties with self-esteem
Coping with stress
and Healthcare Navigation Coaching
I offer specialty support for individuals experiencing illness, parents/families of children experiencing illness, and caregivers.
Before private practice, I worked as a medical social worker in hospitals and clinics throughout the Sacramento region. I have extensive experience supporting adult and pediatric patients with adjusting to a new diagnosis, incorporating management of complex medical needs into a family’s daily life, coping with chronic illness, as well as clarifying goals and advanced care planning. I also provide coaching and support on navigating medical and insurance systems, patient self-advocacy, and resource linkage. If you, your child, or a loved one is struggling with illness you don’t have to go at it alone. I am here for you, and I encourage you to connect with me today.
